How can I get in touch with Magix support when I bought MagixMusicMaker 2014 Premium on steam???

Hi

I bought MMM2014 Preimum recently at steam, and it freezes when initializing soundpools. After a lot of failing I finally managed to make it work, I then turned it of. And now it's the same as before.

I then want to contact Magix support by making a request online, the link is on the support pages. But then I need to register my product, I then ask steam for the serial key so that I can register my product, but they say that there is no serial key to my product.

I then try to call Magix support, and the is a answering machine asking for a code.

What is this code?

Does anyone have a similar problem? (and yes I tried to delete the musicmaker.ini file, but am I then supposed to do that every time?)

I am using windows 7.

Hi,

Do a search in this forum for Steam and review the previous posts. One user had problems and Steam issued a patch.

There is a code required normally during installation. When I buy from Magix, they supply the code. Once activated, the code can be found on the About screen which is under Help on the top menu, if you can get that far. Otherwise, you will have to take the matter up with Steam.

I suggest that next time you buy directly from Magix, when they have a discounted price.

Good luck,

Thank you for your response. I have done a search on the forum and found nothing similar, the patch was about the installer at steam missing like 3 Gb of data. But nothing yet about the soundpools, except that I could try to delete the musicmaker.ini file. The only way I made it work so far is by deleting everything musicmaker related and then re-installing. It then works the first time I start it up, but if I shut it down it won't work again. Then I have to delete and re-install againg to make it work.

I did see that there was a user with a similar problem regarding the soundpools, but the answer said to try and delete the musicmaker.ini file. The post ends there so either he got it to work or he gave up.

No worries, I will never buy anything even remotley related to Magix ever again, anywhere :).

Now don't get mad at me....but....you bought yur product from a third party....not Magix.  Why should Maagix help you ??  The next time I suggest you get your best price from whomever, contact Magix with that information and see if they will price maatch.  They have done this for me in the past.  You shouldn't give up on Magix, I've been using their stuff for 10 years....there was a leaarning curve....but its good stuff and loads of fun

Sorry but I went through all the right channels, first steam and then magix, and even if I bought it through a third party, Magix still has a responsibility, since Steam got the install files that Magix made for Steam. I bet its loads of fun when it works, I am still finding bugs. But I am not giving up since I already paid a good sum for this. But what I don't like is the way they market it. Telling that you can be a producer and make your own songs, and then when you get it, it's like sorry now you have to pay for the license as well to be able to produce songs you can sell.

But its okey, I have accepted it all and just need a few bug fixes and I will be good to go :).

For whatever reason, inn the past when MM has been bundled with other products thaat were not a Magix product,  it doesn't seem to work very well and people contact Magix support or the community forum lloking for answers or fixes.  How much money did you save going the Steam route over buying direct from Magix?  And yess, everyone complains about having to buy a production liceense....but if you used Magix intellectual property and make a lot of money for your production....aren't they intitled to some sort of compensation ?
