I'm afraid the question is a little vague. From what I understand you might just be asking how to import the video into the program. In this case, the answer would be that after switching to "Edit" mode, you would have to use the file-browsing functions on the media pool to locate the actual source files you want to use (video, images, audio etc.) and bring them into the program by dragging & dropping them down into the media pool. I strongly recommend that you use the official documentation, tutorial videos and the resources/tutorials that can be found here on the website to learn how to use the program. A lot of questions you might have at this point will probably be answered there.
