How can I convert movie made in 2006 with BUP, VOB, IFO and MVD files?

Hello. In 2006 we converted 8mm footage to a movie that includes BUP, VOB, IFO and an MVD file on the Magix backup CD. Is it possible to convert the old footage to an MP4 or AVI file, using Video ProX (version 18.0.1.85 on a Windows 10 computer)? If so, how do we get the files into Video ProX -- perhaps copy the files somewhere or import the movie? Please give dummies steps 😃

We'd like to rebuild the movie, improve the colors & resolution, etc. and save it in a modern format.

We also have some older Magix programs (MEP 14+ and MEP 17) but prefer Video ProX and assume it can convert the files.

Hi Peter.

The footage was shot in the Osmo Pockets' Standard Mode as opposed to it's other mode which is called D Cine-like, which is not the same as DJIs' Log C, possibly because it uses a smaller sensor (1/2.3") than the DJI products that use Log-C (2/3" and upwards). It could have made a difference at the time, it's difficult to tell without using a phone with the Osmo Pocket which gives you more shooting options but has it's own problems when connected and more cumbersome in use. It also has a fixed f2 aperture and no control over exposure time of the frames. Something I would have liked to have seen added to the firmware. The normal way to control that on the Pocket would be to use an ND filter if you have time to do that and have a good range of ND filters.

I remember we used ASA 80 with the Agfa camera which was clockwork and my friend's father's old camera. I can't remember the lens it had.

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware it would be adaptive in use for video or why, but am familiar with its use in digital photography when using raw which has a much wider gamut on my stills cameras that can use up to 16 bits.
