HEVC codec reactivation problem

Hello,

I have Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium (installed on my old computer, and had purchased HEVC Codec activation for it.

I recently started using Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium again, updated and When I try to provide the HEVC Codec activation code, it popped up the following error message:

The activation code is incorrect. Please make sure it has been entered correctly or contact the MAGIX customer service.

I had copied the activation code directly from the email sent by Magix, so the code is for sure correct.

What needs to be done to reactivate the HEVC codec capability?

I have everything, my order number, product number, even HEVC number i got before, but it does not work anymore.

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

The code you received for the HEVC Activation is for one-time use on your original computer.

You need to email infoservice@magix.net with full details of the original code purchase (date, actual code, order number (if appropriate)) and ask that they send you a new code. You will not need to pay for it again!

Email Customer Service (at the address I gave you) explain what has happened and ask for the refund.

I'm a little confused about this. When I had my new computer a couple of months ago I loaded in MEP/MS 2022 and activated the HEVC using the activation code for my old computer.

It works perfectly.

Hi Andy.

I have no idea why yours worked and the OP's didn't! My understanding is that these codes are for single-use and, if the user changes his hardware, must be newly created. Clearly, for you, that was not the case.

How long had you had the code you were able to re-use? I wonder if there is actually a time limit on the validity of these codes?

edit: ps I have the Microsoft HEVC codec also installed but I can't really see that as the reason.
