Hello, I am being presented with a message that I need to purchase a codec activation code for my iPhone movie to work on. When I click shop online, it takes me to select from a set of international countries. I live in the US. How do I purchase then?

Are you sure you have selected the correct program for your topic?
Video Pro X should not need a purchased HEVC codec for use within the program. It should come supplied.

You are correct. I have Movie Edit Pro - which is working otherwise fine for me. But there was not an option to select it. So I thought I chose the closest match. I have received a code, as I went ahead and purchased just now. But the program is coming back and saying it is an incorrect code.

There are two HEVC codecs involved.
If you can't see the video clip on importing you need to go to the Microsoft store and purchase the HEVC Decoder. You may have that already on your system in which case the file should show in the editor.
If you can't export to HEVC choose to export the video via the Export Movie option and choose As HEVC at which point it should open a dialog box offering you to Purchase the Magix Encoder. Both are relatively cheap. You have to buy the Magix Encoder as HEVC encoders are specifically tied to a particular software whereas HEVC decoders are generic to the operating system.

In this case, I am just trying to bring in the video into the Magix editor when Magix is saying I need to purchase the codec. Problem now is that I went ahead and purchased the codec (I believe) by following the prompts and paying. The Magix team sent me an email with the activation code. But unfortunately, that code is not working. It's saying "incorrect activation code".
That does happen if the program is uninstalled and reinstalled or the program is installed onto a second machine or for whatever reason the codec gets deleted and re-installed.
You can email Magix at infoservice@magix.net and ask for a new activation code with proof of purchase (your received email order number) from your original order number. Re-activations are limited so be careful how many times you request that service.

A further thought is you may also have to have Quicktime for Windows installed.

Does the code begin with HEVCIC- followed by a sequence of numbers or is it a redemption / voucher code?
If a redemption/voucher code the it needs redeeming here .
Are you entering the code into the activation dialog manually including the HEVCIC prefix or using copy and paste from the email (preferred method) ?
Movie Edit Pro was rebranded to Movie Studio in January this year.
