Help to make 360 video that is scrollable

don-s wrote on 11/6/2023, 11:38 AM

I am using 2023 MAGIX Movie Studio 3 Suite. I want to make a video from my Insta 360 One X camera that can be scrolled around dynamically when it is viewed. Although I set up the project to be a 360 video in MAGIX and can scroll around while editing it, the finished video cannot be scrolled around and zoomed in.

Assume it is possible to make such a video with MAGIX. What do I need to do?

Hi.

If you opened a new project as a 360 project in the 'Create a new movie' dialogue box and export to MP4 it should work.

You would have to open the file using Windows Film and TV and make sure the view 360 mode is enabled.

Zooming in is not a feature of 360 video in itself as far as I'm aware but a part of VR which is another ballgame altogether.

I watched the vides by clicking on them. There was to Schroll around and change the view. I did see a scroll icon in the upper right corner but it was inop. You mentioned software Windows Film and TV. I do not have any program on my PC named that and it is not in the MS Store.

What did I miss here?

BTW Thanks for the reply.

@don-s

Hi.

The website hosting must support the format such as YouTube does. This site doesn't. The two videos show the video Magix produced and then me using it by dragging the mouse around on the second video.

I uploaded the video to YouTube.

Try that. If it doesn't work here then use the link to YouTube. It is working for me once I click on the image here even though the video thumbnail isn't showing.

I will leave the video up for two days as it was a free download test file from another site.

Film and TV should be the default player in Windows 10 and 11.
