HELP So much missing in download trial MMPro 17 Deluxe Do you get xtra Downloads after purchase???

What do I get after activation. What is not in the trial download.
There seems to be a lot of missing items. IE: I have no pattern, wiping, gliding fades. I have only one object in each obj. category. About 40 fades, no PIP presets, no patterns, 1 frame, etc. This can't be the 1000 effects advertised! But yet there is no mention of the trial missing anything or being different, other than mpeg 4 codecs. I really want to buy this, but the lack of info is driving me crazy.

This may seem trivial to you, but I don't want to pay $100, and find the downloaded version is missing tons of stuff.

I've downloaded everything it will let me via Help and the file menus.

I have the same problem ... probably worse because my video computer is not connected to internet.

I have ask support several weeks ago and I still don't know where to downlaod all the free extra software and plug-ins.

So that's already 2 of us :)

If you purchase the download version you will get the full content. To download it just go to menu help-?Download video effects plug-ins" At least that is the menu item with MEP 17. It is probably the same or similar on MEP MX

To answer lucseawalker. If you purchase the download version and your computer does not have an internet connection, you will not only not be able to download the extra content, you wil not even be able to download the program itself. Buy the boxed version.

I have the same problem, and I'm not a noob... i have no transitions / fades/ wipes / glides etc the efx JonnyO mentions are NOT the standard efx that we had in past releases... where are they ??

There are less effects and fades in the download version of MX compared to the DVD version of MEP17.

Is this a good thing or bad?

How many of them do you really use?

For me very few - mainly crossfade, flexible crossfades, and cut, occasionally wiping fades. If I want something different I will 'homebrew' it.

Hey guys. In Video Pro X3 and the other Edit Pro software (up to 16) that I have, its always the same thing when you purchase the download version. Its pretty simple:

1: Go to HELP at the top left of your tab/bar.

2: In the dropdown menu you should see one of two or BOTH of the following options: "Download Extra Programs" (& or) FREE DOWNLOAD.

3: This will either open a small menu on your screen where you check the boxes of what you want to download (fades, wipes, Magic Bullet, etc.) OR, it will take you to a download page where you'll be prompted to put in a number code that's right on the page and click 'DOWNLOAD'. This should take care of the problem. Just remember that some of the effects and extra programs are very advanced and are therefore large so it may take some time to download. You might want to do it piecemeal unless you have a fast machine. Even so, it will take some time.

If you've found that all of the programs haven't been downloaded, just download them individually; sometimes a computer might toss up its screensaver or sleep and it could, sometimes, interfere with the download.

Hope that helps! The MX line is fantastic; the best yet. You should have everything that was in Mep 17 and more (Magic Bullet: that right there is worth hundreds).

Hi Everyone

Just to clarify and sum up the issue with the extras for MEP MX download version:

1. There is an option to download and install the extras on the opening welcome screen. Tthe option is on the left side.

2. There is also the same option under Help, Free Downloads.

In either case you will be shown the following screen from which you select the download(s) you want - note all are installed on this image.

You will have to connect to the Internet to register your MEP and get the downloads as JohnnyO stated. AFAIK they are not available any other way.

There are fewer effects etc than MEP17, however, I for one, did not use a lot of them which not now available.

@lucseawalker how did you register the program and get a serial number without an Internet connection?

@MistyTara - did anything stop MEP17 completing the installation of the extras after downloading?
