Hi

Glad to have been able to show a few more possibilities but to be sure the 2014 HDR is a little better and a lot quicker!

John C.B. - You are right - it would be great to have the measuring tools in MEP as well, especially for colour correction because your perception of what is correct changes each time you apply a small change - IOW its a relative thing. It's also relative to the room lighting which changes day to night.

Yes I did it. Hope this is correct Peter.

PS: Can the same be done to videos as well?

Hi Anirban

You have got it more or less although I am not sure why the Alpha clip is longer than the one in track 1? It should be an exact copy created by Ctrl > Left click Track1 and then drag to track 2, prior to adding the alpha effect. Also in my example I have added a 3rd copy in track 3 to which I have applied brightening (or colour, or saturation, etc) whereas in your case only the black of the track 3 below is showing through the mask on T2. The whole idea of the method is to apply different effects to selected parts of the frame, based on brightness of the areas.

Yes it does work with video. That is why you duplicate the T1 (video) clip at T2 and turn it into a mask, so that it follows the action in each successive frame.
