Guitar Effects Not Working

Hi, I am hoping that someone might be able to help me with my strange problem. I have recently had to reinstall my Windows 10 Desktop computer due to a major issue with Windows Updates.

I have a Magix Subscription for both Samplitude Music Studio 2021 and Samplitude X5, both of whiuch were working without issue prior to reinstallation of Windows 10., but since i have reinstalled my software., I have an issue with both Samplitude versions, in that my Guitar Effects and Microphone/Vocal effects are not working?

My Guitar goes through a Behringer UMC404HD Audio Device to my Computer., and it is working with other software applications., and so i have no reason to doubt its connection or installation.

However., in spite of my Guitar showing clearly within Samplitude Music Studio (& in X5), Vandal SE that it is clearly sending its signal through to both the Track Editor and to Vandal SE., I cannot seem to get any of the Stomp Effects to work with my Guitar??

Also, the Microphone., which is plugged into my computer via an Alessis 8-track USB Mixer is also, which i have also tried my guitar through to the same non-result, but is also not able to be used with any effects such as Reverb or Echo???

I am also unable to make the Samplitude Volume controls work with my guitar and microphone., and yet, it all works with the irig35 keyboard (midi/usb), and all effects work with the keyboard input okay, and without any issue?!

I have also installed ASIO4ALL which I am also very familiar with, but also does not seem to make any difference to my Samplitude problems.

This is a problem that I have never come across before in almost six years of working with Magix.com's Audio Software Products., and it is most frustrating and somewhat bewildering?!

Can anyone help me to try and reoslve these issues with Samplitude please??

Thanks in Advance,

Reagrds,

Adey2k.

@adey There are different monitoring modes to enable in Samplitude. This is how I have it set up:

Maybe you have some monitoring enabled that doesn't have live FX preview.

@adey Since the duplicate thread was closed, please make screenshots of all your audio settings here in this thread. This would be very helpful for us to find a solution. Maybe it is just some checkbox that must be clicked.

HI, Thanks for the reply. Here are some screenshots of my Samplitude setup. As you can see, I have signal., but I still cannot hear or work with any effects with my guitar.

@adey It looks on your screenshot.that you only have Vandal monitored. What happes if you activate all other devices?

So out of sheer frustration, I decided to pull my studio setup apart and re-connect everything and it is now all working at last! I think that somewhere within my computer and audio connections there must have been a 'monitor-output' connected wrongly, or was cross-connected in some way, which would explain why there was 'signal' within Samplitude, but that there was no interaction within the studio setup. So that was what was going on there, I think (?)..., anyway, I am just happy that I can now carry on writing and creating my music with Samplitude again.

Thank you very much for you assistance ., :)

@adey Thanks for the information on how you found the possible error. This can be very helpful for others.
