Im trying to record a guitar through a boss gt-100 pedal, into a behringer mixer then into a laptop onto acid pro 11. Im getting a signal and it is recording it but i cant hear the recording when playing it back. Ive changed my driver settings to ASIO and enabled input monitoring but no luck?
As there is no Acid pro 11 do you mean Acid Music Studio 11? Do you have make sure you turn off recording on the channel like other programs?
Yes acid music studio 11 i mean sorry. I cant hear the pedal through my laptop when im recording it or when i play it back but it is recording a signal from my mixing desk?
The guitar is the first thing im recording and its not to a backing track.
How is the mixer connected to the laptop? How are you hoping to listen to playback?
Through a usb cable. just through headphones connected to my laptop but i thought of maybe monitoring through my hifi speakers. Im only making demos.
Although you could fiddle with the audio settings so the laptop is set for playback and I guess the mixer set for recording it might be simpler to connect headphones to the mixer. My guess is that this is set for playback and recording.
If i add vocals to it im worried that i wont hear the guitar track playback at the same time as i record the vocals. I will try and see if its monitoring through my mixer. Thanks very much graham ,👍
