@David-Menard

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

Exactly which USB mic do you have? A number of them have a built-in headphone socket because, unless you are using an audio driver which allows the sound source (input) and replay (output) to be different to each other, your mic will be bothย the input source and output destination.

Which audio driver are you using in MM?

I have a Maono AU-A04. It does not have an AUX port on it.

When I switched to the Asio4ALL v2 driver l, the microphone would record but I lost all audio from Magix, the project, the recording, everything. If I switch back to Primary Audio all the sound is back but the microphone doesn't work.

@David-Menard

Hi,

Try this. After recording, click on AudioRec in the track header so that nothing is lit. Now play back.

@David-Menard There is an "Advanced" button to configure your ASIO4ALL inputs and outputs in the program settings. Just selecting this driver without configuring it may be not enough to get your Microphone and Music Maker working.

David-Menard wrote on 6/23/2022, 7:21 AM

@johnebaker that was exactly it. Tyvm

I have the same mic and its only saying (windows 11) Speakers Realtek High Definition for the audio playback here is a picture of the window, please help, thank you.

SP. wrote on 10/11/2022, 2:58 AM

@NimS. Please select ASIO as the driver, and then enable the USB microphone as an input in the ASIO driver settings by clicking on the "Advanced" button.

NimS. wrote on 10/11/2022, 12:15 PM

Thanks it works, although i can only hear out of my left headphone. Is that because I need to fix my headphones? Its only when I record with MMM.

browj2 wrote on 10/11/2022, 12:22 PM

@NimS.

Hi,

I can only hear out of my right headphone...because I'm deaf in my left ear.

You probably recorded in Stereo instead of mono if you're using only 1 mic. Make sure to check Mono in the recording parameters before recording.
