FTP - how long does it take to upload

how long does it take to upload files/folders onto FTP.

i have a folder named Index with my files in and 'drag and dropped' the folder onto the FTP upload page

2 hours i have waited but I get a loading circle at top half  of the page with Index written in the box and bottom half of page says Progress:start upload.

where am i going wrong?

Hi,

How long it takes really depends on how many files you have, how large the files are, and of course your internet connection speed.  You did not mention a ftp client application.  Are you using one and if so, which one?  If you are just using the windows file manager to drag and drop the files into a remote location, it will not work.

Hi,

I have just created a video showing how to upload a web site using Filezilla (one of many free FTP clients)  It should be uploaded in a few minutes.
