Finding New Plug In

@nickconstant

I've heard back from Magix Support and for me the problem is resolved!

Here's how it was done:

  1. With the program open, log out of the store and your Magix account. I did this by clicking on the icon next to my email address on the upper right of the screen (looks like a head and shoulders). This opened the "Start Music Maker>MAGIX account" screen where there is an option to log out.
  2. The program will then restart and you will need to log in again.
  3. Once logged in, ALL my purchased content and previous versions were shown, I could access my installed VSTs and VSTis, so everything is fully "back to normal".

It would seem that the problem on my system was caused by the fact that I had very recently changed my password to access my account at MAGIX.com. Prior to the MM update the "log on" in the program seemed to continue without problem but, once updated, it required me to enter my changed password in order to "fully" log in, despite the fact that the workscreen showed me as "logged in", when I clearly wasn't!

@browj2 my apologies!

MAGIX Support has confirmed that you are entirely correct; the concept of the Update Service is no longer applicable to MM. What I see on my account, as previously posted in a screenshot, refers to the version (2017) that I purchased when I first obtained MM Premium.

@emmrecs

I updated to the latest patch, 28.0.3.51 on my laptop (Surface Pro), and everything worked. I noticed that the credits were no longer shown on the Startup dialogue under Magix Account; it now says "Redeem Credit" and clicking on this brings up another dialogue screen showing on credits for instruments, not the others. So there is just a slightly new way of activating the credits. The credits still show up at the bottom of the screen under Store, Instruments, Features and Presets.

Could you please show us some screen shots? Hide your email address and any activation codes.

Yes that works logging out and back in again - all back to normal thanks

I still have problems trying to get Lush 101 to work with MM -either 32bit or 64bit version . Does anyone one know where the synths are stored within MM program ? - maybe if I download to there MM will recognize it

@nickconstant

Glad you have it sorted out.

Music Maker is a 32-bit program.

Lush 101 is a VST so the 32-bit version should be installed or placed under:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstplugins

either directly or as a subfolder.

Then rescan the VST folder or subfolder.
