Am a TOTAL NEWBIE to this software. Am wondering if Sound Forge 15.0, Build 47, 64bit software can create files in the 24-bit/96k formats: 24-bit/48k WAV files; 24-bit/96k.
SF Pro-15 can open and render PCM files as high as 768kHz, which is far above overkill for most recording. I am not very familiar with Audio Studio but 48k/24 will not be a problem.
48kHz, 24 bit is typical for film sound dialog recording.. even on mega budget blockbusters. FWIW, the Sound Devices MixPre II series and the Zoom F6 recorder have a floating point 32 bit option which makes it (almost) impossible to digitally clip and can also allows bringing up very low level takes w/o added noise.
