I've been trying to add a few effects within a song I'm writing. I want one of the instruments to fade out, but it's just not playing ball. The instrument I'm using is Revolta 2 Technotice. The software I'm using is Music Maker plus 2017
Ok, I've been trying the fade out on the piano and it works, so I'm guessing it's got something to do with the Revolta instruments. None of them will fade out. the question then is, is there a way around getting them to fade? Please.....
Very odd that the Revolta is the only one which does not respond to the fade out on the timeline - tested in MMM 2018.
As work around you can change the instruments volume to fade out using the MIDI Editor, click the Prg button arrowed in the image below to open the channel options and select the Volume channel
Using the drawing tools just above the Prg button you can set the volume to fade out as shown below
johnebaker, I tried that a hundred times already, lol, but it simply refuses to fade out. I've tried the fade out on the object, the volume in the midi editor, and even the velocity. Still nothing.
Correction - it did work the first time - now ignores volume curve!
After further experimenting it would appear the Revolta instrument is totally ignoring the Volume MIDI command on channel 7, with other instruments you can see the master volume control responding correctly.
By pure coincidence, when I adjusted the velocity again, the sound of the instrument changed, suggesting there's two samples playing for that one instrument.
. . . . I adjusted the velocity again, the sound of the instrument changed, suggesting there's two samples playing for that one instrument . . . .
You should find that the Filter velocity control moving when there are changes?
I have been testing assigning the MIDI CC 007 to the volume control in Revolta - see image below - there are CC codes added in the piano roll however there is no response - Revolta just ignores it completely.
The annoying part is I did get it working once and saw the volume control changing !!!!! 😡
