Exporting to WAV format fails.

I actually have two questions right now, both for the Magix Music Maker on a Windows 10 laptop. I just got the program this week, and I'm trying to figure out how to record and then export songs that I record from a CASIO keyboard.

My first question is: why can I not export the songs to WAV format? The option is exists, but when I click on it, the file does not get completely saved. The dialog box with the percentage goes to about 20% and then vanishes. Meanwhile, the file it produces is only 9kb, as compared to the 4MB or so that the info box says should be the size of the output file. Exporting to OGG and WMA format seems to work well (although I do not know how to open OGG files and am simply going by the fact that the output file isn't empty).

My second question is: can I export my songs to the MP3 format? I don't see any option for it in file -> export. If I can, then could someone point me towards how to do that?

If you want to record the casio´s audio output you actually have to connect the casio´s audio output to the audio input of computer´s sound device to be able to record casio´s audio output on audio tracks.

Only virtual midi instruments can be rendered directly!

Are you trying record the audio output of the Casio - if so Efty.Frato has given you the solution to this, or are you trying to use the Casio keyboard as a MIDI controller with the Instruments in Music Maker

What settings for the WAV export are you using?

@Efty.Frato Sorry, I am new to the terminology here. I wasn't even aware you could directly record the audio without using a microphone or something similar. I am using the keyboard as a MIDI device and using the 'MIDI REC' option to record the songs. I can play them back to myself alright, so I know they do get recorded, it's just that I can't save them as WAV or MP3 files (the latter option doesn't even show up).

@johnebaker The product's name and version are Music Maker Version 25.0.2.44

Currently the only thing on my timeline is the recording from the keyboard. It's labeled as 'MIDI REC->Concert Grand LE' if that helps. The import module in properties says 'OGG/Vorbis crypted import'

In my export settings I only have the 'Normalize' and 'Compression' boxes checked. Sample rate is at 44100 Hz with Stereo output.

@Jack_Magix I did that a couple minutes ago, and 'Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.'

There was an update available when I started Music Maker - I updated it, but that didn't fix either of my problems.

Maybe some other codecs (e. g. LAV) are disturbing the media system. You might want to try the k-lite tweak tool or the radlight filter manager to correct issues like that, but you should indeed head for a support ticket. I don´t think that such issues could always be solved in a user forum.

Try exporting with the Compression option unchecked.

I get a file however it appears to be corrupted, eg an uncompressed length of 14 secs becomes a length of ~ 190 ms when the compressed option is used.
