Exporting Problem

Windows 10, Version 27.0.2.28.

So the problem that I'm having is Music Maker crashing when I try to export a file (Typically crashes around 21% export). The files I tried to export was a WAV File (Mp3 option doesn't show up so I can't use that) and I've tried using Soundcloud with the same results, 21% exportation, and then it crashes. It also restarts and opens again after crashing if that information is to any value.

I'm wondering if there's any way to fix this at all because i want to get this either in a file to upload to SoundCloud, or straight into SoundCloud itself via exporting directly. (Note, i am fairly new to all of this and sorry if i don't know much)

One item that immediately stands out is the naming of the file - it appears to include a tilde ( ~ ) which is a disallowed character in Windows file names.

Try changing the export file name to one which only has a-z, hyphen - , underscore _ and/or 0 to 9 in the name, no special/disallowed characters.

Hello again.

Thanks for the first tip, I'll try to avoid that from now on, but a problem persists. I've changed the name to only "dreams" now, and I've tried exporting it again, both on Soundcloud and/or making it a WAV file but I still get the same problem, It crashes at 21% Exporting and then restarts the program

(as I'm typing this, apparently trying to export to soundcloud just instantly crashed. strange.)

Hopefully, there's a solution to this and any attempts at helping are much appreciated.

This would suggest that an object on the timeline is causing the crash, assuming you have enough free space on your computer hard drive and are not exporting to an external USB drive or memory stick.

Before doing any testing, restart the computer - Windows button, Power option, Restart. Do not shutdown in the normal way.

To determine if it is an object on the timeline:

mute all the tracks except track 1 and try exporting.
repeat for all the other tracks and note which do not cause a crash, if any.

If you are exporting to an external USB drive or memory stick then this may cause an issue if Windows powers it down during the export - this should not happen however I have experienced this with exporting video.
