Exported 3D Video does not play

Hi,

Having a problem in that the exported 3D Video does not play on 3d tv.  I get the sound but no video.  The source material is 3d photos from a fujifilm 3d camera, I load the mpo photos on the timeline, edit add, music to secondary track and export using the HD Quality 2 - WMV side by Side setting.

If playing the wmv file on the PC - it plays correctly witht he side-by-side output.  I copy the file on to my NAS and access it using tvix dvr network connection connected to Panasonic 3D tv.  Streaming other 3d files this way works fine.

The movie starts and music plays but get blank screen.

This is produced from the Movie Edit Pro MX program.  Any suggestions.

Can you export using mp4 and will it still be side-by-side ?  IS this a wmv problem ?

Any help appreciated

Hi

I believe this is a fornat/  encoding issue.

You need to check what your TV 3D format actually is, does it need interleave left//right images rather than side by side,  for use with 3D glasses.

Can the TV play 3D wmv files or does need them in a particular format.

For example my Sony 3D TV  requires the encoding in BD format, with a particular 3D codec, with the left right images interleaved (not side by side) and a frame rate minimum of 50fps, but is a lot better with  100 or 200fps.

Hi John,

Thanks for answering.  The TV is a Panasonic (VT20) 65" 3D Plasma. Its default format for 3D is side-by-side. I have played 3d wmv files on it before created from the previous version of the program. The TV cant natively play the 3D wmv files ( if using the inbuilt media player)- it doesnt recognise the format, but streamed through a media player (Tvix 6640 media player) it does work.

I was thinking it was a encoding issue - but not sure what I can do about it given that there are no other options using the export dialog for different file types.

Thanks - Mat
