hi

I am using movie edit pro 2016 and it is up to date. i am using widows 10 i5 with 6gb. I am trying to export a video at 1080 59.94 fps as mp4 to put on youtube and drop box. when i stream the file from either of these places the quality is terrible. fuzzy and choppy. I have tried playback on multiple devices and it is all the same. can anhyone tell me how to export to get it to play on youtube with the same high quality it was filmed at.

ps the original file plays back fine on the computer.

Hi

Youtube recommend these settings.

However when you upload to YT they will still convert the video to various formats to fit the majority of devices that are used to play video and suit various Internet speeds.  You have no control over this and the format delivered is dependent on the Internet connection download speed - depending on your Internet connection download speed then you may get a lower resolution / different format video downloaded.

For streaming from my own website or Dropbox I use these advanced settings for MP4 720p video:

Note:

  • These settings were developed after extensive analysis of videos from a variety of streaming web sites and are for the Intel (Default) codec.

  • If you are using the MainConcept codec then the settings to change are Ave bitrate, Max bitrate, GOP length, Profile and Quality settings.

  • It helps if you apply sharpening to the whole video - Effects, Movie Effects, Sharpness I use a setting between 45 and 60 depending on the video.

  • For 1080p the Ave and Max bitrates only will need increasing.

  • I also create webm and ogv versions to cover the majority of mobile devices - for this I use the MovAvi video converter.
