I have cancelled my contract with my hosting company and they have asked me to go into my cpanel to release my domain to the new company and need me to put in a IPS tag. Can you advise what this is for my domain to be transferred tof Xara.

Since your question is clearly nothing to do with any Magix video product I have moved your question to the Internet and Technology area. Which Magix product do you have? I would guess Web Designer. Is that correct?
However, I suspect that no fellow-user can help you with this since it is a very specific question about moving your current web hosting to Xara. I recommend you email infoservice@magix.net, explain fully what you want to do and request their help.

Thank you Jeff for your response. Yes I do have Web designer, I have downloaded their document to move my domain over to Xara but my and they have given me instructions on what to do but my existing hosting company have asked for this information and I do not have a clue what they are talking about as they are not very helpful even though I have been with them over ten years.

There is a list of links from various domain providers with their own instructions, this may give you a better understanding of said procedure.
Ps please bear in mind this is an example transferring to a company mentioned, but it gives you an understanding how to proceed.
