hi, i cant get SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 15 64bit to install, i get a message that it doesnt have admin rights and to login as admin or contact the admin, well i am the admin and i am loged in as admin, i have fixed this problem before but i can do that here so how do i fix it the error message number is -2147163964

Are you stating SF will not install.. or will it not launch?
If SF successful installed, has it been activated with the serial code that should have been e-mailed to you?
Check out the net framework remedy that 'vkmast' stated on the Vegas Audio forum.
Otherwise you should request a Magix Tech Support ticket. .. which btw, is a little confusing, so you may want to peruse the cheat sheet I posted.

and the worst thing magix is offering any help, i would never buy sound forge because of this, i only got this in a package and the package was less that sound forge 16 on its own
hi @Philip-Kruger...i've heard of this happening before, but it's quite rare. if i recall correctly, you just need to right click on the .exe file and select 'run as administrator'...then it should install for you. not sure why that would happen for you, but every year or two someone writes about it happening, so it's rare but it does happen. hope this helps you!

Did the package come from Magix?
FWIW, with Sound Forge-10, many folks have experienced an 'Elevated Privilege' issue after a Win 10 update, which requires running SF-10 as an administrator (or a registry tweak) but it is very rare with other versions of SF. SF-16 (AS and Pro) is pretty much trouble free for most folks, there are a few minor annoyances that are being addressed though.
Sorry for your frustration. If you want to run Sound Forge as an administrator, Right-click the Sound Forge <.exe> launcher (or the shortcut), choose Properties> select the 'Compatibility' tab, under 'Privilege level', check-mark "Run this program as an Administrator"

it came with vegas post 19, it is sound forge 15, i have tried sf 15 and sf 16 both have the same error
i have already run it as admin and still the same error, but it is the install that has the error, which i cant install it
the way you stated is not available in windows 10, you right click on the exe and click run as admin, there is no privilage level there
The SF-10 properties could be slightly different, here is a screenshot of the SFP-16 "Properties>'Compatibility". It may not fix the issue though.

still doing the error, sound forge was many many years ago a good program, but 14, 15, and now 16 have the same problem and they keep putting it into there program, it looks like they dont want people to buy it, it properly the same program with different numbers at the end and people will get upset and not buy it anymore so they can stop making it and save money

This sounds like one of 2 issues:
The Windows Installer has issues - use this Microsoft Tool to locate and fix any issues, then try installing again.
Your Antivirus program is blocking the installation - this is known to happen regularly with some programs - temporarily disable the Antivirus Folder/Real time Protection feature(s) and install.

Sorry, I was under the assumption, SFAS was installed, but could not be activated.. duh.
Follow up on what @johnebaker recommended.
sorry to say but the microsoft tool is a waste of time, it asks you, do you have trouble installing or uninstalling, i selected install, then it gives you a list of all the programs that you have successfully installed then asks which program could install, well that was a double waste of time, and magix still havent contacted to help me, maybe i should ask vages to give me money back for the fact that i cant install and use it
and on the last part, i dont have a antivirus except to the windows defender

From the last image, the line 'the computer is managed by your organization' would suggest the PC is on a network behind a firewall and has a network AV solution, hardware or software, installed.
Is this correct?

there is no organization this is a personal computer, that comes up when you disable defender
it is a home network with a nbn modem with a firewall in the modem which is disabled, i am getting so fn frustrated that people dont read all the info and pass on irrelevant info back, so far i havent received useful information i can use, i think i will just close this and wait for magix to contact me as from now on i will be sending them a note everyday
