Error Message " Error while writing noise sample file "

KAMAL wrote on 6/25/2022, 8:48 AM

I was using Audio Cleaning Lab 2 and now currently upgrade my version to Audio Cleaning Lab 4. This Error message popup while turning on the Denoiser in Audio Cleaning Lab 4. I never faced this problem in Audio Cleaning lab 2. Even after reinstalling many times, Blocking my antivirus software and disabling windows real time virus and treat protection, the issue is not fixed. My current OS is windows 10 Professional, Is there any solution for this Problem?

@KAMAL

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Unless you have changed the default location for saving noise samples to, the program is trying to write the noise sample to:

C:\ProgramData\SOUND FORGE\SOUND FORGE Audio Cleaning Lab 4\

Check that the Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 4 can write to this location by adding an exception to your Antivirus's Realtime/Folder protection feature - how you do this depends on the Antivirus program on the PC.

I have done all the above mentioned steps, I have uninstalled the program and disabled all antivirus software, Antivirus Realtime and reinstalled the program again. Then add the above folder path in realtime antivirus exception, then opened the ACL 4, activated my license and same error pop up while using Denoiser.

I have never changed the default location for saving noise sample. How to check it? Kindly give a solution to resolve this issue.

Hi

From the images above:

Depending on which Antivirus programming is protecting the PC, you can't have both.

  • With Kaspersky completely disabled, Microsoft Defender is protecting the PC

    The feature you need to add an exception to, if turned on, is the Ransomware protection, Controlled Folder protection. The option shown in your image is a different feature/function.

  • With Kapersky enabled, it is protecting the PC, Defender is disabled, the exception should be in the Kaspersky equivalent to the equivalent of the Defender folder.

As you said after disabling the kaspersky, Microsoft defender protection started automatic and I have disabled all the realtime and other protection in microsoft defender. Even after the error message pop up

Now after seeing you comment, I have added an exception to pathway in kaspersky but still the error popup.
