Error Code: -57 on Windows 7 PC Laptop

Hi all, I have just downloaded Soundforge Pro 15 (64 bit) on my windows 7 laptop, but I'm getting "Error Code: -57"

Does anyone have a fix to this?

@James-HansenTrent Disable your firewall or Windows Defender temporarily and try again. Something is blocking the program from connecting to the registration servers.

Darn, thanks SP, I tried disabling both but I am still getting the error code: -57. Is there anything else I can do?

Someone with a similar issue in another thread updated their Windows and it fixed their issue.

@PATIENT-X, thank you but it seems Microsoft does not offer updates for Windows 7?....do you have a link to a a recent Windows 7 update that will let me run Soundforge 15 from my Windows 7 laptop? Really appreciate any help you can provide...trying to use the newly-purchased software to complete a time-sensitive project, and I absolutely DESPISE Windows 10 and refuse to change my OS.

Thanks, but in my most recent reply above I wrote that I despise Win 10 and won't "upgrade" to it.

What about accessing an earlier version of SoundForge that works with Windows 7, is that available somewhere to those of us who've ponied up the cash for the current version?

Sorry you cant update Windows 7 as per Microsoft's discontinued support and I understand you do not want to update to Windows 10.

You could google to see if there are any final updates for Windows 7 you may have missed.

The problem with software is that they update continually through time requiring an updated Windows to run them efficiently.

@PATIENT-X fixed it. I'm currenly using the software on Windows 7. Used "final update" available at URL below, it gave me no less than 177 updates, not even kidding. I let the updates run overnight. Look for the area marked: "Windows 7 KB4534310 Direct Download Links: 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit."
