@TRACY-FORTE Sounds like a server problem. Error 503 means that the service is unavailable.

TRACY-FORTE wrote on 8/24/2021, 10:09 AM

Is it magix music related?

SP. wrote on 8/24/2021, 11:13 AM

@TRACY-FORTE It depends. Where do you encountered this problem? In Music Maker? Then it could be caused by Magix servers being not available.

Every time I open the software the code along with a http address pops up. It will not allow me to sign in magix music. My apologies for not having more info, I am at work and my computer is home.

@TRACY-FORTE

Hi

If the URL (http address) is pointing to simplitec.com, then the Update Notfier software installed and used by Music Maker cannot connect to the update server to check for updates at the time of launch.

Check that you Antivirus/Firewall is not blocking Update Notifier fron connecting to the Internet.

Close the dialog and the program should continue to load and work.

Ok, so when I finish my projects for the day and I save and them titles, when I go back to open them, they will not open. Am I missing something? This new 2021 magix music software has been giving me so my issues.

SP. wrote on 8/31/2021, 7:08 AM

@TRACY-FORTE You can try and load a backup project via File Menu > Backup > Load backup project. Usually Music Maker saves a backup MM_ file every ten minutes if you haven't changed the standard settings. They should be in the same folder you saved your project file.

TRACY-FORTE wrote on 8/31/2021, 7:28 AM

Thank you...none of the tracks will open backup in the timeline. Example: so I'm working on a new music arrangement and I am done for the evening until the next day, I go back to the title I saved it up under and try to open it in the timeline but that will open either. Is it a sync problem?

@TRACY-FORTE Where do you save your projects? On drive C:? On an external drive?

TRACY-FORTE wrote on 8/31/2021, 9:10 AM

Drive C

SP. wrote on 8/31/2021, 10:52 AM

@TRACY-FORTE Are your audio/loop files also stored on C?

TRACY-FORTE wrote on 8/31/2021, 11:12 AM

That's a good question...so whenever I down load the magix music 2021 software everything should be stored in one place?

SP. wrote on 8/31/2021, 12:19 PM

@TRACY-FORTE No, that is not necessary. But uf you use an external drive for loops and, for example, its drive letter changes then the loops cannot be found by Music Maker.

would it be best to uninstall and start over? what would you recommend to get the best out of this software for someone that's just starting out?
