Hi All,

I recently purchased a new laptop, and following an initial failed install of Movie Edit Pro 2016 Plus, I received the following error when I attempted to install again:

The following task could not be executed successfully:

Installation of Magix Speed burnR (MSI)

Cause: Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install. (1618)

System info:

Dell Inspiron 5000

AMD A12 7th Gen

12G Ram

1TB HDD

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks

Hi

Try this solution here

To re-install follow this procedure note you may not be able to do step 1 if not go carry on from step 2 - this will ensure the Windows 10 installation is OK.

Thanks for your help.

I actually solved it by removing all reference to magix and Speedburn in the registry, and any files/folders found on the main drive.

Cheers!
