Looking for some interesting way to end my slide show with four or five images from the show to reminisce about the trip. Is there a tool or do you folks have a manual method of combining or fading or flowing those four or five final images?

Start by using Timeline mode, not Storyboard.
Try the following until you know how to do complicated editing.
Go to Templates, Design Elements, Collage. Go down to 4 or 5. Select the first image of the last 4 or 5. Try out various collages till you find one that you like. You can preview them first.
Magix has some additional collages in the Store, like Power of Simplicity, Complex Geometry, Simple Geometry and Popular Shapes.
And, once you've learned how the effects, like size position rotation and others work, you can create your own.
