Effect of Pause/Break key?

Had to junk my wireless KB yesterday (spacebar broken). On this temporary (very old) replacement keyboard I'm occasionally hitting the Pause/Break key instead of Page Up. No problem in any of the several other apps I've used, but in MEP 2013 it annoyingly zaps all of the tracks. Just black space. I have to use F9 and then change my window size and monitor resolution.

I see no reference to Pause or Break in my KB shortcuts list.

Hi Terry

The Pause/Break key is a hangover from the days of 'good old dos' when it was used to pause program execution and pause screen scrolling in a DOS window when used on its own or stop program execution when Ctrl+ Break was pressed.

It is rarely used today.

On my computer (Windows 7 64 bit) the Pause/Break key does the following in MEP 2013:

Pause/Break only -  nothing

Ctrl + Pause/Break - removes the timeline pane (reappears when restart MEP)

Alt + Pause/Break - nothing

Windows key + Pause/Break  . opens the System pane

John

Thanks John. Yes, it was actually Ctrl+PgDown I was using. That and Ctrl+PgUp are amongst the most frequent shortcuts I use for navigation in MEP.

Causing the loss of the timeline pane must be a bug.

Win+Pause/Break has always been my preferred route to System properties.

BTW, Scroll+Pause/Break is my emergency shortcut for killing Macro Express when one of my macros runs amok and refuses to stop by normal methods. So that gets used a lot too!
