Effect

I made a film with MAGIX Movie Edit Premium 18 and burnt it. All went fine, except when I view it on my LED, I see the film as a square shaped one (4:3). Now I want the same to occupy the entire rectangular-shaped TV (16:9).
Can someone please help me out how to achieve this.
For reference, I have attached a small picture. I want the bottom picture-effect.
Regards.

Hi Anirban,

Do you want the shaded bars on the sides included or were they just to illustrate more screen area and was the original clip shot in 4:3 or 16:9?

Hi Anirban,

I think I answered your mail on your previous question (the one that John originally answered).

Anirban,

I did not answer in email, I answered on line here to keep the conversation intact.

nirvanray,

I'd assume you want to stretch a 'squashed' image, not magically add additional picture area that was not in the original (as shown in your attachment). If your DVD plays 4:3 with black bars on the sides you probably need to check that a 16:9 aspect ratio is set for your project ('File' >> 'Settings' >> 'Project...' [E] key shortcut).
