How does the camera connect to the PC?

I have two AVCHD cameras that when connected act as if they are external hard drives of the computer, so what I do it skip the "Record" mode of the Movie Edit Pro and go right to "Edit" mode.

In Edit mode, I can use the "Import" tab to locate My Computer, and then find the camera, in my case the Canon or Sony camera. I can then drag and drop the video files from the camera right into the program.

Another method is to copy the video outside the MAGIX software to your hard drive, then import the video to the Movie Edit Pro from the location you copied it.
