Have you tried loading any other projects made in  MEP11 into MEP15 and do they show the same behaviour.

Try the following: -

1.  Load the project into MEP15 then immediately save as a new project in the new format.   Close MEP 15 then restart and load the newly saved project, then try editing it.

2. If 1 fails then, with MEP closed, using Windows Explorer search for a file called movieedit.ini or videodeluxe.ini - I cannot remember which version the file name changed - it may be a hidden file so you  you need to set the search to include hidden files and folders.  You may find several - the one you want is the largest ~18 - 20 kb in size, and delete it.  restart MEP and try loading the project again.
