east dock button missing

The dock button is not present on the tool bar and it is the present in the view drop down menu either, is there some way for me to turn it on.

Do you mean you have lost some of these icons for showing/hiding the different panes and docks?

If so try pressing F4 to reset the program layout.

Yes John,I happened to have it back to working order, I took the advice to reset the program settings and this has taken care of the issue thank you for the help.
