DVD Main Menu - Duplicate Menu - Advice Please

Whalebat wrote on 3/9/2012, 6:21 AM

I created a project  edited and named all all chapters.

When I went to burn the disc there were two Identical Menu's.

I deleted one of the duplicate menus.

Now when I try to enter the project title to reformat it ... i.e. change text... no changes occur.

In Properties the Menu Text  does not the same as that  displayed in the Menu Text Box.

Can anyone explain what I may have done during the project creation to generate two duplicate menus and why I cannot now format the remaining menu properly?

I am Using MEP 16 Plus

Thanks In advance.

Hi

This sounds like you have 2 identical movies in the one project.  Check here to see if that is so.

If so delete one which is not required

Hello John

I thought that too, but I don't have two movies, although two show..

The image as you posted is just like mine but no matter which movie option I delete

the remaining option  does not save any menu text changes.

It's weird, but can't help feel I've overlooked something!

Thanks

Hi Whalebat

As a quick fix try:

1.    Exporting the movie as an mxv file.  Create a new project and import the mxv.

Or

2.    Use Manage movies to export the project, create a new project, detach the blank one then attach the exported project

Recreate the chapters and set up the menu as before.

If 2 reproduces the duplicate menus etc then the project is probably corrupt.

Thanks John

I followed suggestion 1 and imported to MX instead of MEP 16 Plus and that seemed to work fine.
