Hi everyone, I've download the installation file from the website, file name "moviestudio2022_dlm_wruj9d.exe". I double click the program while no any response. I tried several times but the result is same, no error message, just nothing happened. I tried to install magixmusicmaker2023premium_windows which is same issue, double click with no response. My system is Win10 and no antivirus program installed (only microsoft defender which is installed by default together with the system).

@binbinwolf

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

You need to specifically allow the connection of your computer to the Magix servers in the rules of Windows Defender.

In Win 10, do the following steps: Go to Settings>Update & Security>Windows Security>Open Windows Security>Firewall and Network Protection, find the option "Allow an app through the firewall".

I assume Windows 11 will be similar.

I tried to open the option and it appears "Magix cloud import" are ticked for both private and public, not sure whether it's what you are referring to. but the installation is still not working. Or shall I add any program or server into the list?

Hi

. . . . "Magix cloud import" are ticked for both private and public . . . .

Do you have any other Magix programs installed?

In addition to @emmrecs comment, temporarily changing the following Windows Security options:

  • Virus & threat protection, Ransomware protection, Controlled folder access to off

  • Virus & threat protection, Real time protection to off - this will automatically turn back on after a preset time

  • Windows setings, Apps, Advanced app settings, Choose where to get apps is set to Anywhere, but warn me before installing and app that's not from the Microsoft Store

Then try installing the program again.
