If this is a download version, you will have to download and install all the additional content via the appropriate option in the "Help" menu first before a lot of the stuff starts showing up in your program (various software instruments and their content, audio loop content). For the actual soundpool samples, you might have to use the import function after installing them on the hard drive to actually get them listed in the soundpool database. You need be in the program's advanced mode (i.e. disable "Easy mode") for the import function to be available in the soundpool section.
