Does Samplitude studio 2020 use Steinberg plugin folders?

Reason I ask is I had Cubase and Samplitude on my computer. I decided to go with Samplitude and bought the 2020 studio. When I was removing Cubase from programs, I noticed that there were still 3 steinberg programs left. I kept one which is the Steinberg Ur22 audio interface driver. Now I'm wondering, did I delete something that Samplitude needs? The vst and plug-ins seem to be working.

I'm hoping the ones I deleted were just left overs from Cubase. Thanks for any help.

Yes Samplitude does use Steinberg folder but in order for you to use it you have to direct samplitude to the path of the folder to receive the plugins. you need to go to vst rewire setup and add folder by typing C:\programs files\Steinberg\vstplugins and then hit the scan folder for vst folder failed plugins. hope this help.

You can have Samplitude use ANY VST folder you desire. Create what you want where you want it, name it, and have Samplitude find it (via Preferences). Good to confirm it's correct in the registry. I never use Steinberg's folder.
