Does Music Maker work with Avocado Glitch?

Yorokobi wrote on 7/6/2018, 5:41 AM

Hello Everyone! I have a question about a compatibility with a jsfx (not confirmed) called Avocado Glitch.

Apparently Avocado Glitch is an "add-on" for the Reaper Engine (another music maker) and I know it can be compatible with various other programs. Is it possible to import that jsfx into Music Maker? I am using the Magix Music Maker Premium Edition (25.1.2.78) and was wondering if there is any possibility to import Avocado Glitch into that program.

Can there be other possibilities of Avocado Glitch being used inside an Audio-Recorder? BTW the link to Avocado is: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=26126

Thank you all in advance!

Hello?

Hi

As no one has replied it is most likely that this combination has never been tried.

From what I can see and find about the Avocado Glitch, it is is only available as a jsfx file, which is a Reaper specific plug-in type and it is not compatible with Music Maker which requires plug-ins to be in the more widely used VST format.

Just to confirm what John EB has written.

I have MM and Reaper, including Avocado Glitch, which seems to exist entirely as a text file in a format apparently unique to Reaper, so I can see no method by which it might be imported to MM.

So, is there a different possibility to use Avocado Glitch as a "standalone" version? Or, possibly, "modifying" it so I can use it as a recording software? Thanks for the answers btw!

Avocado Glitch is one of a range of "effects" which are the "sws" extensions designed exclusively for Reaper. So there is no "standalone" version.

Whether the creators of the extension would ever consider porting it to use on another platform I really can't say; somehow I doubt it.

However, the sws of the name is the initials for Standing Water Studios. Perhaps if you search for them on the web and contact them directly they might be able to give you a definitive answer to your question. The web page is here.

I will take a look into it. Thank you so much for directing me! Have a great day! :)

@Yorokobi

Hi

You may also want to look at alternatives that are available as VST's - a quick Google search for Avacado Glitch VST (note the spelling) brings up a many results for both paid and free glitch VST's.
