I have the Magix Music Maker 14PE and the soundpool DVD. When I inserted the DVD, the soundpools were transferred on my hard drive. Is there any way to keep the soundpool library on the DVD, not on the hard drive and still use them in Music Maker?
normally you should be asked (an I think you are), if you want to install the sounds or not. If you do not install them, you need to have the DVD always in the drive when you work or playback. Also you will have performance problems if you do not have really fast drive and computer. I would recommend to put the sounds on the harddrive - at least these that you use mostly.
Hi,
This is a real irritation and I've dealt with it before. I have a second hard drive where I put all my sound collections - but after several DVDs (not all Magix) then a lot of space has been taken. You can copy to hard drive if you only plan to have one collection but it still takes up too much room.
You can remove the collection and keep it in your DVD drive. This really isn't much of a performance problem. A DVD drive is capable of playing a movie so some audio won't hurt you. The trick is to hold the shift key down every time you insert the DVD - that will prevent it from installing or even asking you to install.
You do not have to copy soundpools to your hard drive - I do for convenience.
