Hello, the difference depends on a technical view. because of two online service (online album and website maker) you have two separated webstorages. in the future magix will offer only one storage. at the moment you can upload directly into website maker (uploaded) or upload your media with online media manager and then import the media or hole albums (online album). ciao!
