Customizing a sub-menu

rickduley wrote on 3/23/2013, 3:27 AM

I have a project which contains four files - a documentary series copied from TV.  Each of these files is landmarked which a Chapter Marker.  I have managed to create a sub-menu for the project which is available at http://www.rickduley.webs.com/MEP-Title.jpg.

Problem:  when I click "Apply" the subtitle text disappears.

Information begged for (it's not anywhere in the manual I can find): how do I:

1.  Select an image (preferably from the relevant file) to fill each blackboard?

2.  How do I make the sub-title text remain in view?

I am using Movie Edit Pro MX Plus (download version).

Thanks

Hi Rick

If the Blackboards are static then:

Select Edit mode in the Menu page shown in your image then double click each board and change the image using the option shown in this image.

If they are animated then:

Select Edit mode in the Menu page shown in your image then click the Edit in arranger button on the right of the window.

This will take you into the timeline mode for the DVD menu where you can replace the short video clips with your own or still images - make sure they are the same length as the ones you replace.

Click the Burn tab again to return to the Burn window and apply the changes

Hi Rick

Select Edit Mode top left od the window shown in your example - you can then double click each blackboard and change the graphic - see this image

John

Or, simply right click on the "blackboard", choose Properties (which will open the screen John showed you) and proceed as he suggests.

Hi folks

Using this selector I get this menu.  I still have the problem that, when I click on "Apply" the text disappears and all the parameters have to be reset.

Worse yet, when I insert the disc into my DVD player the Menu never shows.  I can switch from chapter to chapter, but no menu.

How do I fix these things?
