Crashes when exporting and when I open up project it tells me that files are missing..

When I click folder in order to point MEP to the item the item is right there where it's supposed to be.  It out of nowhere told me it cant find some 17 files out of 112 but the files are right there.

I hope this is not another corrupt project, that would make 2 out 4 projects that would require me to start all over after I had just completed it.

Any suggestions?

Hi

I suspect that you have some corruption going on here.

Have you run system checks for hard disk and memory errors?

For hard disk use the manufacturers scanning/testing software - it is better than the Windows disk scanners and MemTest86 for checking memory - instructions are on the site and download links are near the bottom of the page.

Tested the hardware and memory and everything came up clean.  I'm afraid to even attempt to redo the two projects.   Not fun to waste days on end to only have MEP not work.

I went back to some previous saved files of the project and get the same reult.  The pictures show up in the time line and plays fine but it says it can't find them.  They have not moved.  When I click on folder to solve the probem, I go to the file and click on it and then it loads the whole project without letting me it show where the remaining each indiviudual file is.  That seems odd.  Is there anything else I can try?

Another update:  I went ahead and started over on one of the projects.  I imported all pictures and video and then exported the project.  There were no issues.  I then edited half of the work by adding effects and exported.  No issues.  I then completed the project with edits.  Several of the last video clips require a ton of spliceing and some film speeds with in those video clips.  I exported and saw in the preview pane the dreaded green and pixilated screen.  It also would crash during export everytime.

It sures seems like this issue has to do with MEP after these findings.  It seems I can't complete two of my progects.  Any suggestions?  Should I reload the software?  If so how do I save my current works?

I took the clip that had a ton of editing needed and I redid it as it's own project.  I then exported it.  It worked just fine.  I then took the original project that is able to export and deleted out the last clip (that was giving problem) and imported the clip that exported ok.  I then tried to export the project.....nope still crashes.

I'm keeping this up to date in case anyone else has any suggestions of ideas.  After probably 40 hours in a project that should have taken 7 hours I'm starting to think that this thing is beta product and that I might want to purchase another product and start all over.....very very frustrating.
