Could you tell me how to import Digital still images into the Medai pool to make a slide show please

I can transfer movies into the image pool, but when I try bring in JPEG still the programme will not let me. I have tried dragging and dropping, double clicking and clicking on the picture and pressing OK, but the image remains in my pictures and wont import into the programme.

It's not in "Record" or "Import files"'
Follow: Edit - My Media - My pictures.
Oh, if you don't store your pic in "My pictures" move the ones you want there.
