Configuring the "Sand" font

Periplex wrote on 2/26/2012, 1:11 AM

Hi.

My version is Movie Edit Pro MX Plus.

I have selected: Title --> Font --> Sand, entered the text I want, and stretched the object out to a convenient time period.

However the dissolve-in, plain text and dissolve-out the time periods aren't what I want at all. There's far too much dissolve time and not enough plain text.

However, I can't see how to modify the properties of this font.

Is it possible, and if so, how?

Well, thanks for this; I've just discovered another feature I never knew MEP had!

Anyway, the answer to your question: with the title object highlighted go to the Effects tab, make sure you can see the keyframe "window".  One line is labelled "Sand" , on that line you will see four keyframe "markers".  The second and third control when the "sand" effect will stop (to allow the steady letters) and when it will re-start prior to the fade-out.  Simply drag these markers to exactly where you want them to begin to operate.

HTH.

Jeff

Ah, thanks for that. I had forgotten about the little keyframe thingies. All sorted now.
