Codecs for YouTube Videos

Hello,

I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus to edit videos to upload to YouTube. I first export them as AVI files instead to uploading them directly to increase picture quality. However I don't know which codec it used to use and it now seems to have vanished because none of the codecs available seem to work for AVI files any more. Do you know what codec I should use to get good quality videos that keep there quality once on Youtube?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks!

When I export as AVI, I am using the Intel IYUV codec.

But, you will get no "better" results from exporting the project, you might get stability, especially if the project contains different formats, but I would think that is about it.

I do not have the Movie Edit Pro 15 , but I have 16 and i think quality has everything to do with what resolution was captured. I capture at the highest resolution, so when I export to a smaller resolution, everything seems to look crisp.
