Hi

Did you download and install all the templates, effects etc and the extra content?

In the programs settings, Y key,  Import/Export tab which codec do you have selected as shown below

Thank you - all sorted now. I had the old 2014 version installed also. Removed it and reinstalled, all good now and thanks for help.

That actually is not necessary if you told MEP 2016 not to replace the previous version, different versions will co-exist without any issues.

Yes I did the download of extras but I do not have the drop downs of the codecs as you show in the jpeg...I did tick all the boxes and restart the programme - will try a laptop restart...
