I think a lot depends on prior workflow methods and how many different programs you have worked with.

Personally I have found the Magix software more intuitive than the Vegas line of products. Vegas I had to look up every step to understand it and to an extent I still do but is slowly getting better. Magix programs I had up and running within a few sessions as it followed practices I already had to hand. A lot can also be the changes in terminology and labeling as well as track layouts which can throw you.
