Capture is not working

I am using Movie Studio 13.0 Platinum; serial number removed by Moderator in Windows 11. My camcorder is a DCR-TRV340. I am using a Toshiba VCR with composite connections to a hub then to the camcorder. Then the Firewire connection to a Firewire port on my Dell Inspiron 3030 computer. When I click on Capture Video the video comes on for about 2 seconds then goes to a blue screen. How do I get this to work? Do I bypass the firewire setup and go with an A/V setup and go directly to an USB port on the computer? When I switch to my old computer with Windows 10, I have no problem with the video capture.But I would really like to use the Firewire setup in my Windows 11, 3030 PC. How do I get around this problem? I don't want to maintain 2 computers. Please help me. Thank you.

@Steve-Kirk

Hi and welcome to the forum - albeit the wrong one.

Vegas products, with the exception of Magix Movie Studio 18 and later versions, have their own forum - click the link at the bottom of this page.

There should also be a link to the correct forum under Help in the program.

I would suggest you post your question there
