cannot use hardware acceleration burning Blu-ray disc

Ralph_S wrote on 7/18/2023, 4:53 PM

I'm using VP-X15 on a Windows 11, 64b, LT. I updated my graphics card drivers a couple of days ago, I have an Intel Iris Xe, v31.0.101.4502, and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX Ti, v31.0.15.3640. When I burn a Blu-Ray disc I get a message similar to 'Cannot use hardware acceleration. Update graphics drivers'. Have I missed something, or is it not possible to use HW acceleration with this system?

@Ralph_S

Hi

In the Program settings, Device options tab try changing the Import, processing and Export options to CPU, Intel Iris XE, RTX???? in turn and see which work best for your system.

I have all 3 settings set to my RTX GPU.

Which RTX GPU do you have installed?

It looks like you have an additional, or new, computer compared to that specified in your signature if this is so please update the computer specification in your Signature so there is no confusion over what your system(s) is/are.

See my signature as an example.

@johnebaker

Changing the settings as you suggested to the Intel Iris XE processor did the trick. Hardware encoding is working now. Thanks again.
