Movie Edit Pro MX - over 6 months ago I bought this program and over repeated attempts have not been able to register the product. Despite getting the green ticks of approval on Serial No and email address the system cannot connect and eventually bombs with "Error code:-11". Anyone got an idea about why registration cannot get past the first step?

Not really sure, but having tried yesterday to register a completely different product from another manufacturer via an internet connection and having received exactly the same error code, I wonder whether your firewall might be preventing connection to the MAGIX server?
In my case I was able to get around the problem by uninstalling what was actually an update to an already-installed app (along with the older version) and then reinstalling the update from scratch. However, I realise this may not be in any way applicable to your situation.
Have you tried the off-line method of registration? Or is there a way to do this via email or fax?
