I had thiss issue for quite a long time, however it hasnt been resolved yet. I have the VEGAS Movie Studio 15 platinum editing software (also called Movie Studio 15 Suite) and when I try importing mp4 (mostly from my camera, I have a GoPro HERO 4, I know there are issues with importing formats from that camera), or exporting any kind of format through the "make video" exporting function, none work. Or I can try exporting in MP4 from the advanced "export as" menu, every time it gives me the error - "activation code is incorrect, please make sure you entered it in correctly, or contact our support". I can import/export every other file format, the activation sode is correctly entered (I can see it activated on my Magix account AND it works fine - this is the only major issue I encountered so far), so whats the problem? I first thought, it was the codec, so I installed QuickTime and K Lite codec. Yet the issue is still there. I tried reinstalling the software - still persists. Finally I tried COMPLETELY deleting every single thread of Vegas software I could find, including detail clean with regedit. Then I reinstalled - THE SAME ERROR AND ISSUE IS STILL THERE. Ok, I did this after I contacted support as the error said, yet it hasnt been helpful so far (this is the 2nd time contacting them, they havent responded. The first time was back in 2018, when I first reported the issue, they replied back, but the issue still has not been resolved.). I tried installing this program on my other computer, everything, including this issue was fine, I can easily cnvert and import mp4 files, that didnt work previously on this computer. And this issue forced me to abandon this software and move on, yet I returned now to hopefully finally resolve it. I am desparate at this point, there are no tutorials, or articles I could find detailing this exact issue and it will be a while until support responds again, so this is my only chance at this point... I am sorry, if I sound frustrated, or mad, it is because I am. I am also sorry for any gramatical mistakes, that may occur (English is not my first language).
