Cannot export videos to MP4 in Movie Studio 2022

Derek-Norman wrote on 2/26/2022, 3:46 PM

I was offered a great deal today when I opened Movie Studio 16 to upgrade to Movie Studio 2022, but it is worthless to me because I cannot export to MP4. I get errors to either turn of hardware encoding, try different framerate settings, or go back to default. Nothing works. If I cannot export to mp4, I have no use for it. I either need a fix for this or I need my old version back with a refund of what I spent today.

I actually figured out a way to fix it myself, so it's all good.

The problem really is just that the error messages are not detailed enough. I had to go into the main program settings and tell it to always use my CPU for hardware acceleration.

I'm so tired from stopping or blocking of my PC, from Movie Premium 2022.

This Problem, I've after Upgrade to Premium 2022. If I going to Copy or Upload a Project, after that, Premium 2022 i's Blocked.

Can someone tell me, what to do?

@Kasam-Selimi

You're not the only one.

Try this:

File>Settings>Device Option tab

Change the hardware Acceleration settings to CPU (also try Microsoft Warp if it is there and "CPU" doesn't work).

All my forum comments are based on or refer to my System 1.

My struggle is over! I built my (now) system 2 in 2011 when DV was king and MPEG 2 was just coming onto the scene and I needed a more powerful system to cope. Since then we've advanced to MP4 and to bigger and bigger resolutions. I was really suffering, not so much in editing (with proxies) but in encoding, which just took ages. A video, with Neat Video noise reduction applied, would encode at 12% of film speed. My new system 1 does the same job at 160% of film speed. Marvellous. I'm keeping my old system as a capture station for analogue video tapes and DV.

@Kasam-Selimi

Hi

The error message 'Hardware acceleration has been disabled .....' usually occurs because the graphics card or integrated GPU does not meet the requirements of the program or an effect or plugin or the version of Windows installed does not support

@AAProds has given you a possible solution, however for us to be able to help with suggestions on settings etc to use, we need more information:

  • Computer specification and program version, see this topic for what is required and please quote processor and graphics card make/model in full - I would suggest you put this information in your profile signature so we do not have to keep asking for it.

  • Are the graphics card drivers up to date?

  • What video format and resolution of the video you are adding to the timeline?
